Podcasts have been a big part of my life and my growth as an individual, as a member of the collective community in this world, and ultimately as a coach. Gaining perspective through the stories of others led me to share my own personal story and now I help others to do the same. Below you’ll find my original podcasts as well as some other podcasts that I’ve been featured on.
This JW Life – This is my original podcast, the one that started it all as I was just a guy in his basement with a story to tell and a cheap headset and some free software. This is my life story growing up in what many experts regard as a cult or a “high control” group, in this case known as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Shunned – This is my current podcast production. After I was done telling my story there was an outcry for more. People wanted to hear more stories and people were reaching out to tell theirs. So I took on this challenge and grew what became an interview style podcast with me and a guest, working through and processing their life story. These stories are real and very raw at times but they have been a huge part of my growth as a coach as well as immensely helpful to those that laid down their burdens so publicly.
LouisvilleOne – This is another current podcast production. In it I interview people throughout the Louisville area with their own unique stories. Through story we can see that while the names change and some of the circumstances may differ from ours, in the end we are One. We impact one another in the community, we all go through so many similar things in different ways, and we don’t know the story of the person we are sitting in traffic with or at an event with. Doing so might change our perspective of those around us and the goal is to create a more united community.

JW Forwardcast – I was interviewed by Covert Fade, host of the podcast about moving forward after life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

LouisvilleOne – Live video interviews with the expressed goal of humanizing everyone across the Greater Louisville community to build greater understanding so that we can work together instead of focusing on differences.

Shunned Podcast Group – I created a group that is very supportive and therapeutic by design. Currently I have over 700 members that join in supporting other survivors of high control groups, relationships, and those that are family to ones in such groups.

Speaking:
My wife and I were able to give a presentation at a local college in an honor’s class about psychology and social media. The discussion focused on propaganda and how cults use it to control people with a goal of helping students to see what tactics are used and how to spot it elsewhere in life.

On October 27, 2019 I had the privilege of being featured by the International Cultic Studies Association on a live streaming event to kick off their series on Jehovah’s Witnesses. The goal was to help those that leave groups like Jehovah’s Witnesses to identify patterns and psychological issues that may manifest in their lives after leaving and to help professional therapists and coaches to do the same.
